To mount /system as rw you need to have /dev/sda1 mounted as rw first. Lets say i wish to restart everything, a fresh & clean android, i could simply delete the Data.sparsefs but then your root.fs will fail to boot because there is no where to copy prebundled data (Default launcher is in Prebundled.fs) - So just leave Prebundled.fs as it or add a launcher perhaps.Ģ) As your /dev/sda1 (Root.fs) is mounted as ro there is NO WAY you can mount /system as rw because your /system (system.img) is in Root.fs. Also your method success because system.img exists in Root.fs, if you replace Prebundled.fs with system.fs then this only works if the user already has prebundled data copied to /data/. I would like to give you some advice for further improvement:ġ) You can remove the 'system.fs' as this file will NEVER get mounted as system.sfs is not exists in anywhere, the statement to mount is always FALSE in initrd.img.
